This was the game that Capel lost me. Losing as a 12 point favorite at home to a bottom feeder, just disgraceful. Some thoughts:
- One of the things our team always seems to lack under Capel is toughness and effort. UVA had 12 MORE rebounds than Pitt when we only had 21 total.
- I'm sure everyone has seen the video during the timeout of UVA being coached and Pitt watching the cheerleaders. That is Capel in a nutshell. Roll the ball out, let's see what the team can do with no direction.
- Leggett was our only good player last night and the only one in double digits. 17 points, 7/11 from the field, lead team with 6 boards.
- Lowe stunk again. 3-9, 0-2 from 3, 4 assists but 3 turnovers.
- I still don't know why Jorge doesn't play more. He's out best three point shooter.
- You want a stat to show you we didn't play hard? Pitt committed 11 fouls total on the night.
- We've lost 6 of the last 8. Good bye tourney although it's obvious we wouldn't have made any noise if we made it.
- I think I heard on the broadcast that UVA is 11-2 at the Pete now.
