This team is exhausting. Some thoughts:
  • I know a lot has been made of the game Corhen had. To be fair, he was fantastic on offense. He only missed 2 shots. But the real issue continues to be that in 33 minutes he had TWO rebounds. Cummings had 2 in 10 minutes.
  • Lowe and Leggett were awful again. All three guards were. NINE FOR THIRTY. Including whatever the hell that immediate shot was close to the end of the game by Lowe when he got his own miss. Some props to Leggett and Dunn at least for 6 boards a piece.
  • Speaking of 6 boards...another stat stuffer night for Austin. 6 boards, 3 steals, 2 blocks. Three 3s.
  • The no call on tackling Leggett at the end of the game was ridiculous.
  • This week's role player we made look like a super star - Van-Allen Lubin who sounds like an 1800s villian in a comic book. Season high in points and made FGs.
  • I know he hit a few big shots but I really can't believe how average RJ Davis looks to me. Don't get me wrong, I'd have loved to have him but he's very underwhelming to watch.
  • I know it's a forgone conclusion we won't make the tournament, but we could probably sneak in if we win 5 of the next 8 and don't suffer a bad ACC tourney loss. But this team really just doesn't have it. I can't even tell you one thing we do well.
  • Loss of Dunn hurts but I can't help feeling that he upset the chemistry coming back. Too much hero ball when we already have 2 guards that do plenty of that. We were 2-7 since he got back and we seemed to find a bit of an offensive groove when he was out. I also want to see more of the bench guys. At the very least, let's get Cummings some run since he looks like the future of this team.
