I don't always do these for basketball but I got to watch every minute of last nights game so I thought I'd shoot some thoughts on here:
- The crowd chanting Britney Griner at Weir is hysterical.
- Carrington has already set the bar so high that I thought he didn't have a great game only to look and see he lead us in scoring, assists, only had one turnover, and hit all 7 of his FTs. Man is this kid really good. I'll be interested to see if he's climbing up draft boards.
- I know the FTs were a big issue but this was really Federiko and GDG going a combined 1-8. Hinson is not going to shoot 50% on FTs. What a weird play that was on the intentional foul on FF.
- I don't know how many teams have a traditional big anymore but it's clear that we are in a similar spot to last year that we don't have a ton of depth on the front court.
- I think this is going to end up being a good win on the resume. That team has some players and only lost to Indiana by 6.
- Looking forward to another hopefully easy win on Friday against the Dolphins.
