The last time we have had LBs that hit and instilled fear in the opposition were Blades and Sessions. I think we may be back there w/ Bradley and Grigsby. These guys can move and hit!

Sorry, but LB problems are definitely not something I have any experience with.

Mike dropped...True. I guess we'll consult you next time we have a question about child molestation.
Yeah, you guys have had at least 4 or 5 since Shane Conlin back in '86. Linebacker U is an antiquated term up there but nice try.Sorry, but LB problems are definitely not something I have any experience with.

Now you're just being silly. These are just the first team AAs:
That list doesn't even include other great college LBs like Bauer, D'Onofrio, Bowman, Hodges, Gelzheiser, Hull and Carson. Other than USC (and maybe Alabama if you don't consider the amount of NFL busts they have had) I don't know who else could claim the title of Linebacker U.
- Andre Collins
- Lavar Arrington
- Brandon Short
- Paul Posluszny
- Dan Connor
- Sean Lee
- Michael Mauti
That's a nice list and I am not denying that you guys had some good linebackers but that name was attached to Penn State in the 70s. Your list takes in a 30 year period and many schools had many good LBs in that time period. Thus the moniker LBU is antiquated. Now you're just being silly. These are just the first team AAs:

We've had some good running backs but not steady enough to overtake USC for rbu. Under Harris, we actually had about 8 years in a row where we had the big east leader in reception yards a game. And this was when Miami was in the big east. Its nice that PSU fans can come over on this board and debate a bit. Unfortunately we can't do the same on your boards because the person that moderates your board has a gash between his legs and bans us all immediately.Go ahead and let me know a school with better LB pros right now than PSU. Pretty sure USC is the only one.
What position represents pitt at AA over the last 30 years?
I just looked at USC and I believe they have only had six AA LBs during that timeframe. Alabama may have more and I would think that OSU is a dark horse.
It also appears that OL is the most for PITT over the same timeframe with four. DL and WR with three each. I would have to guess that DL would be second (or maybe even first) for PSU.
EDIT: Yep, eight DL for PSU over that timeframe. Four RBs which is hard to believe. Not anyone recent though.
Why don’t you go onto the ups site? Let me guess, you are a ups grad that lives in the PITTsburgh area so you identify with PITTsburghers!
Those guys played an eternity ago.Now you're just being silly. These are just the first team AAs:

All that talent. Penn st is at the top of my list of schools who have all these AA's but dont win titles. Not even leauge titles.Poz, Connor, Lee and Mauti are still in the NFL. So are Bowman, Hodges, Hull and Carson. That's hardly an eternity ago.
Great point. You recruit linebackers as well as you hire coaches who prey on little kids. Now you're just being silly. These are just the first team AAs:

Yeah...old "credit card" Gelzheiser was the player on which JokePa perfected depth chart justice. With DuhNofrio out for the season, Credit Card had to play and Jope had to "wait until all facts were in" before disciplining him. Oddly enough he played the entire season and bowl game before his (both illegal and) NCAA infraction could be dealt with...Success with Honor...nobody was surprised all those years later when AllB1G Safety Anthony S. Called for reinforcements to storm into a party of actual students and mess some guys up. "You gotta real witch hunt on yer hands"...JVP (disgraced former coach at UPS). Don't think Bowman missed a snap either despite two on campus incidents with real students.Gelzheiser, wow that is a name from the past.
