Let's discuss uniform numbers. I will start.

27 - Old enough to have some scratch and do anything you want, but young enough to be able to do anything you want.

Two years running number 3 on offense hits the portal. Pitt should retire it as Damar Hamlin.

Being old and therefore hating everything, I think the doubling of numbers on both sides of the ball, as well as the DL and LB able to have single digit numbers, is disconcerting.

Say Kancey had been a slight bit better and therefore Donald like, we would want to retire or acknowledge #8 for him at some point. But we will also be doing the same for Pickett. So what do we do? A banner with both names?

I think they should stop with the duplicate numbers. there are 100 possible numbers, if less than 100 guys are dressed why can't everyone have a unique number? I don't even get why Kancey would want #8? I'd rather have a unique number that I own and reminds people of ME. When people think of #8 they will always think of Pickett first.

I like the single digit numbers on different positions and no numbering system at all other than O Line. I'd even like to see weirder stuff, like a QB wearing #47 :) but I hate the duplicate numbering, as a player I'd want my own unique number that nobody else is wearing.

Conner at 40 his first year, made a big splash (for us at least). Then 24 after that. Boosh. I didn’t like it. Allison. Big year with 37. Then number 30. Argh. The movie never ends, it goes on and on and on and on…

Personally as a RB, I'd take 40 or 37 over 24 or 30, just because those numbers are more obscure for a RB, and it would be more MY OWN thing.

No, they should never retire 3 for Hamlin. Why? because he had this incident in the NFL? He was good at Pitt, but not retire the number good.
Just a piss take. Retire it for Kyi Wright. Anyone to make that number stand for someone other than he who shall not be named.

There's absolutely no reason to retire it at all. Stuff happens, guy had cardiac arrest and recovered. Not a reason to retire a number.

I needed to use the purple font. Start purple font-retire three for Kyi Wright or Hamlin or Palko or some walk on even so it is no longer thought about as Addison's -- end purple font.
I know. It wasn't funny.
