Did somebody piss in your wheaties? They just flashed the score and I posted it. I will be watching the Arizona game next as well, and will probably comment on Ryan Luther. Am I allowed to do that, or are you the only person allowed to comment on people with previous ties to Pitt?St. John's beat VCU, which is about as equally relevant to our Panthers at the moment.
Oh no. That is a big enough upset to be discussed here, especially when it involves our former coach. And yes. It is hilariousSt. John's beat VCU, which is about as equally relevant to our Panthers at the moment.

Dixon did a heck of a job while he was here. A lot of good memories. But losing to Lipscomb by 9 jumps out a bit, especially when it is flashing on TV during a game. No harm meant.Point taken, but every thread that mentions anything about Jamie Dixon, pro or con, almost always inevitably ends up being a dumpster fire before all is said and done.
Posts about Ryan Luther don't seem to have quite the same impact.
This board has been more lively and agreeable as of late. My hope is only that it stays that way, at least for a little while.

Jamie is our best coach ever. What he does elsewhere, good or bad, will be talked about by Pitt fans forever. That's what fans do.
It was their first win ever against a ranked team. They were 0-14 previously.Lipscomb a decent team that was coming off a win over SMU as well, probably the favorites to win the Atlantic Sun again.
Still a game 12.5 point favorite TCU should probably win.
Agreed. Now does someone have to start a TCU thread every time they win? Every time they get a recruit?I get it -- just tied of the arguments it always creates.
Lipscomb returns five starters from an NCAA tournament team.
They'd beat quite a few power 5 teams.

This one of those classic Jamie RPI manipulation games. Lipscomb will probably have an RPI in the Top 100-150 and are a decent team but they'd finish dead last with a terrible RPI in any major league.[/QUOTE
That’s a mistake if true now that the NCAA has effectively dumped the RPI as a measuring stick.
Lipscomb plays a couple ACC teams in the upcoming weeks, I suspect they will have good showings against those teams as well.
They are pretty good lol tcu will be fineDixon did a heck of a job while he was here. A lot of good memories. But losing to Lipscomb by 9 jumps out a bit, especially when it is flashing on TV during a game. No harm meant.
Can anyone name the nickname for Lipscomb without looking?
You do have the choice of not reading posts with Dixon or TCU in the title.I get it -- just tied of the arguments it always creates.
Great question. Can anyone name the nickname for Lipscomb without looking?
Undeniable point. You do have the choice of not reading posts with Dixon or TCU in the title.
I get it. It’s essentially the same with politics these days. This site had a political forum which functioned off on its own with minimal trouble. But then when politics filtered over to the main boards, things would get toxic. There was no need for Chris to remove the Locker Room. It was a place where such things were discussed. Politics was just something he needed to police on the main boards. Maybe he should create a Jamie Dixon Forum to keep these boards free of all the poison.Oh ... I have no doubt that you meant no harm, nor did I really. But I just cringe when I see any Dixon/TCU post.
No - but I think it'd be fine if someone posts for discussion every time TCU wins a game of significance, just as it's fine when someone posts every time they lose in a major upset.Agreed. Now does someone have to start a TCU thread every time they win? Every time they get a recruit?

In any event, I think the Dixon thread is pertinent. Just as Ben Howland ones are too. The lipscomb loss is one he never seemed to have at Pitt when he had good teams.

I wouldn't have noticed they had lost, as they games around the holidays are hard to keep track of, IMO, if it hadn't been posted. I usually follow TCU scores, just as I usually follow Miss. St. scores, just as I will probably one day follow CCAC scores once Stallings takes over the helm.
