little smile on my face this a.m.

Not impressed with them at all. First time I'd seen them all year. No way they're even one of the 10 best teams in America.

For how many times I heard they were getting snubbed, I expected to see a good team out there. I saw a QB who couldn't throw a deep ball, a defense who got gashed by a running game, and cornerbacks who were stuck to their receivers hips. Not impressed at all with what Utah brought in that game.

I remember how hard Urban Meyer tried to run up the score, haven't liked him or Alex Smith since. Oh how I long for the days of real Gentleman of the game like Jock Sutherland and Johnny Majors, to bad the game got polluted by the likes of Barry Switzer, Joe Paterno, Urban Meyer, etc. :)

I was super disappointed with Pitt’s defense that day - not just because we got smoked, but especially because Urban Meyer kept Alex Smith in the game (to run-up the score), and Pitt’s defense allowed Smith to walk off the field rather than be carried off on a stretcher.

I know this won’t be a popular post, but from my “old school” point-of-view, if a coach leaves his star QB in the game to intentionally “run it up”, the QB is fair game for the defense.
