Looking a bit ahead until next year

If the reports are true that the JuCo recruit, Clark, didn't sustain as bad an injury as anticipated then he could play a factor in the backcourt. I like that Dana Altman at Oregon offered the kid because Altman is a very good coach.

What is Jones' future? All of a sudden much more athletic players are going to be battling for minutes with Kithcart, Clark, Milligan and a year older Wilson and Cam. Jones might have way more experience over those five, but that's not all of a sudden going to give Chris quickness.

If Artis did leave I could see a Kithcart, Wilson, Johnson, Young and Luther or Nix starting five.

". . . the core of this team was way deficient on intangibles like grit, heart, toughness and leadership." You could be right; but I doubt it. What evidence other than your own personal opinion? That is a totally subjective opinion and is at best no more than that--just an opinion based on no more facts than you didn't like the outcome of some close games that were lost. I saw no evidence of the players quitting or giving up. I will continue to believe you are wrong.
If you haven't reached the same conclusions the you must not watch the games. Take away the Duke game and the second half of the in conference schedule was once again a near melt down. This team went into the fetal position just about every time they were faced with adversity . There has been clear board consensus on this - too bad you have been locked in your basement without contact with the outside world since the Notre Dame game.

Would like to see Jones move on. He shows up about twice a year.

I was down on him all year but started to take a liking to him.. He is aggressive.. Seeing how passive a lot of our guards are, it's a refreshing change.. Definitely a role player, a spark off the bench if you will, like our version of Vinnie the microwave..

He's a contributor, and he's a willing defender.

Yeah but I think Cam Johnson has passed him by and who knows how/where Wilson will figure into next year.

If he's Toree Morris 2, that's OK too. He doesn't have to be the greatest.

If he is as good as Toree Morris, that would be awesome. Just take up space, get rebounds and don't drop the ball if someone draws a defender and passes it to you for a dunk. I would love him to be as good as Morris but I honestly think that is unlikely. Nix is a project in every sense of the word. He's got to be 21 or 22 by now and has never played 1 second of basketball in his entire life at a reasonable weight.
