His contract ends 2024 and not enough donors, fans and Pitt administrators want notable progress with the program. Let’s face it,
too many are content with the status quo and think the program is as good as it will ever get.

Probably 4-7, maybe, maybe 5-6 this year. No fans, no money, COVID year, he gets a pass. Hires a new offensive staff next year and that gives him 2 years to get to 9-3, 8-4 at worst.

Like your optimism Sean
but 9-3, you’re dreaming.
8-4 possible but unlikely.
He better hire a secondary coach as well as offensive staff.

True. This is Pitt football for the near term. Time to start getting a fund together with the handful of donors that exist. Build up a war chest over a few years and cash in after 2023-4 with a splash hire. Pitt football is going to be moribund for the next 2-3 years and there is no way to fix it. Play the long game.

Same talent and next year is 3-9 at best. This year was senior laden. It’s all about talent. We can’t recruit talent.

Even with injuries this was touted as his best defense. He has a senior QB. Yeah, he doesn't get a pass for this year.
