Looks like we got a commit from Cam Carter

CB's reinforced last year
DL reinforced this year

Narduzzi defense will be here shortly!
Amen brother! Carter will help us immediately. This is a big get in terms of need. We still need to add Twyman yet. Linebackers may still be a weakness on this defense, but, starting next season this defense is going to morph into what most of us hoped for when the Duzz was hired!

Another former consensus 4* and top 250 player. Not sure what the coaches Will do with his weight. He put on a bunch his freshman year.

A man with a chip on his shoulders and something to prove....i love it!

Why would he have a chip on his shoulder? He got booted out of PSU after multiple disciplinary problems... If he turns his life around and gets his act together good for him but don't act like PSU did something to him. This was all his doing. As another poster stated he isn't that far away from a last chance U appearance .

At 6'5", he looks like he can carry the 310 lbs. My guess is that he will "tighten up" his frame over the next year, once our S&C coach gets a hold of him. I just see him becoming a quicker, huge beast, staying at about the same 310.

Peddstate did plenty too many, or should I say allowed.

I'd say he does have a chip, he's has something to prove.

No, he literally went to "Last Chance U". He will most definitely be on there, even if he might not be a featured player. And, honestly, hopefully he isn't because that would likely mean there were issues and it would be a distraction and look bad on us.

I don't think the poster said he would have a chip on his shoulder about penn state.

But it sure looks like you do.

I don't know the ins and outs of what happened to Penn State....but for the young man to call out his "haters" in his committment piece tells me he has a chip on his shoulder. Who his beef is with or what it is about is up to him.

Agree...now here at The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Historical Best Players known as The University of Pittsburgh. Cam now has more Pitt Great Player's Role Models to chase and follow since Pitt has the most CFB & NFL Hall of Famers & Record Holders in the NFL & NCAA with Athletic Integrity.

Penn State now no longer puts up problem Players like O'Brien & Franklin's Predecessor Paterno that Penn State Lack Institutional Control over and refused to obey Title IX & Clery Act over Decades under his belief only he had domain of the Football Program Discipline.

Good to see Penn State in 2012 added Athletic Integrity Reforms and did not fear in paying the Largest Educational $2.4 Fines in US History?

The Pitt Coaches gave Cam a second chance and happy to leave it up to Cam Carter now. Pitt had problems with Shell and he ended up at WVU and now ready for the NFL. WVU let some of their own go too.

Pitt, WVU, and Penn State on a better path of discipline and coaches maintaining it.

Smart Recruits Choose Pitt Is It!

Big time pickup, congrats!
Agree, just another challenge to see if Pitt Coach Pat & Staff can take a Recruit and turn him into a better Player at the Pitt-Penn State Game next 2 years? Just another rivalry among Commonwealth Brothers.

It will be a case Study if the Bigger Brother can make now the Three Star Kam that the Little Brother's previous Four Star Carter a better Player, and join Pitt Hall of Famers as Penn State trys and catch up?

Either way a win for all 3, PSU got another Scholarship to give, Pitt got another Recruit, and Kam gets a Second Chance, and against PSU, and Fans Win by looking to see those future games, if Kam can re-focus his own practice to earn to play.

Penn State usually out recruits Pitt every year, no shame in admitting it. Penn State's admirable Football Program Resources are far more funded than Pitt.

Yet, when it comes to Quality for the NCAA & NFL, Bigger Brother Pitt have been doing that to Little Brother Penn State not just for Decades but Two Centuries.

Just some friendly Banter to send back to "Board Without Integrity Posters" and they once boasted with Nittany Lion Pride when Kam committed to Penn State 2 years ago, and now have to accept Pitt Is It! While Kam has to get with it at Pitt!

Congrats on a great class again at PSU!

PennLive Excerpt:
...........Carter was kicked off the Penn State football team just prior to the 2016 season for a violation of team rules. He later transferred to East Mississippi Community College, a program that was the subject of a Netflix documentary dubbed "Last Chance U." Carter re-emerged at East Mississippi with a solid season, recording 6.5 tackles for loss and two sacks in 12 games...............Carter's ability was clear as a former four-star recruit from Gaithersburg (Md.) High School, who picked the Lions over Pitt, Maryland, Michigan State, Nebraska and Kentucky, among others. He arrived as a defensive lineman but played all over the field, including quarterback, during his time at Gaithersburg....................Carter will now get a chance to face the program that originally signed him when the Panthers travel to State College for a Sept. 9 game at Beaver Stadium. As a junior college transfer, Carter will be eligible to play immediately.

Don't wanna add credence to the whizzing match brewing, so I'll just say: (1) Glad to get that level of talent and (2) Love the uni shirt.
Love your Posts, you speak your mind, know your stuff, and educate all that choose to share to learn on the Lair.

Kam has an Upside for Pitt:
1. Coach Pat & Staff now can prove can they make Kam Carter a better Player than Franklin & Staff.

2. Add Additional Recruiting In road right in Maryland that used to be Franklin's Old Stomping grounds until Michigan's DC Durkin came along for UMD Football!

3. Kam will be at Pitt able to talk to recruits on what worked out for him and why choose Pitt Is It, over Penn State bragging but longer waiting line, and poof more NFL Draft Busts and less NFL Pro Football Hall of Fame Bust!?

4. Kam has 3 years to play at Pitt and right away in 2017 if Kam can improve his focus, practice and play the Narduzzi way?

5. Kam knows now he has a great chance to improve his play and Pitt will provide every opportunity to do it, but still up to Kam!

6. If it does not work out, not much Down Side for Pitt, so far more Upside.
