Loon-ardi has us as a bubble team...........

So do some other much more accurate Bracketologists as well. If Pitt loses to Clemson at home Saturday Pitt will be on the outside looking in. This season can go 1 of 2 ways. They can right the ship with a big win against the Tigers and then beat Syracuse to get themselves off the bubble. Or they can keep losing and find themselves collapsing and another NCAA Tournament miss.

I’ll take the latter for $200

This team lacks any sort of coaching. It's literally high pick and roll and hope Lowe or Leggett can beat the switch. They drive to score or if corner collapses it a pass to the corner. If you blitz the ball screen they have no answer. I'd like to know how many plays Capel calls in a game. The BLOB plays might be the worst in the country.

Lunardi is such a toolbag. At 10:30 AM, he had us safely in as a 9 seed. You can still see this bracket. Then at noon, he sends this tweet out without updating his bracket that shows us in the Last 4 Byes.

The reality is we are probably a 9 right now. A loss to Clemson moves us to Dayton.

Lunardi makes the mistake of jumping or dropping teams after every single game. The reality is that when the selections are made, current form isn’t a factor.

He updates too much and therefore has to be reactionary for every game. Last year, he and others had FAU way too high in the beginning, like a 3 or 4 seed after beating Arizona but then they had like no good wins after that and some bad losses. Their overall resume was bad. But he had them so high so early, and playing in the American, they didnt lose THAT many games but didnt win any. Then they go down in the semis to a Temple team with a losing record with half the team more interested in shaving points. I had them out but they were safely in due to the Lunardi influence.

Yeah but T3 Bracketology and another bracketologist I saw also had Pitt as last 4 byes. Pitt has really hurt their great start with this losing streak.

When you are updating your bracket twice a week and it's still the middle of January, you have to make changes to your bracket every time, or people are going to stop looking. "Hey, this is just the same as last time, why did I bother?" When, in fact, the actual changes from your average Tuesday to your average Friday would be minimal at most.

Yea, which is why I dont like him. He is very influential. I compare him to political commercials. Nobody says they voted for someone due to a commercial but they are powerful and do sway people. When the committee see Lunardi talking up certain teams and talking down certain teams, they can be swayed as they are humans.

Playoffs!! Are you kiddin me! Its not totally out of the question at this point, but if we can’t get by Clemson . . . Unless something changes, beginning today, I would be happy to go .500 in ACC and maybe a first round win in ACCT. Love our guys, but right now it appears that we do not have the talent to close out with 22 to 24 wins. 20 wins, maybe 21, if we improve starting today.

We are a bubble team sadly. I thought this team was better but I guess I’m wrong. Need to win 9 of next 13 and probably beat Louisville just to get in at this point.

I think they can get hot if the work on doing the things that got them back in the game more consistently. That is good D. Gang rebounding and moving the ball on offense rather than relying on lowe to drive to the hoop or chuck up a three. Question is do they have it in them to do that?

Once you play yourself out of the field, it’s extremely hard to play yourself back in. Louisville and Pitt have gone completely opposite ways. They needed this one today badly to regain some traction.

This is turning into another typical Capel team that plays playground ball, doesn't share the ball, plays sporadic defense and rebounding, and keeps coming up just short at the end of the season. Today we played defense for about 6 minutes. That's it.

We need 10 more wins, including the ACCT, just to be on the bubble. Duke, Clemson, 'Ville, SMU, Wake are all ahead of us. And we still have to play 'Ville again, SMU and Wake, plus UNC twice. Where are the 10 wins, or even 8 wins before the ACCT, out of that group? I have to assume we can beat BC, 'Cuse twice, Miami, and UVA.

Louisville and Clemson are ahead of us.
And both are surging .
It’s not even time for the February swoon yet

Correct. They are safely in. We are Last 4 In/First 4 Out if tomorrow was Selection Sunday. The committee gets off on non-conference SOS
