in 17 years he had a losing conference record. that is not anything close to solid. its a losing record, plain and simple. i'm sure some will say 17 years was not enough time. instead of a lesser SEC basketball conference, now he gets to go up against some heavy weights like coach k and roy.

Zeise is stretching it on that one. Hitler had a track record too. Stallings record is what Zeise said originally. Solid and safe as in some years pretty good, some years very average. Not what we expected.

I was all in on Jamie staying. Boy would that look good right now.

Yes, it's a decision that is clearly based on a strategic vision of where Pitt basketball will be in the next 20 years. This hire will energize our fan base, as we can all see a final four is finally attainable. Recruits will line up to play for a young, dynamic, energetic coach.

I agree. This is just a hire by an AD trying to look out for his cronies and being lazy. Barnes needed to do his job and scrap the search firm headed by his buddy. He failed miserably with this hire. I resent contributing to this program until Barnes is either removed as AD or he fires Stallings and gets a real coach that a program like Pitt deserves.
