They just seem worn out. You can't win when they both go 1 for 8 from 3. Leggett was shooing better recently so I can give him a break but Lowe has taken the most 3's this year but has the worst percentage on the team. So frustrating to see our opponents consistently have guys go off on us... can't defend the 3 and we can't make the 3. Basketball is fairly simple actually...

The L Twins.

I just know this team functioned a heck of a lot better when they were 3rd and 4th in scoring, rather than 1st and 2nd. Some combination of them being in more prominent roles than they should be and a lack of filling in well around them, I guess.

The two guys who were ahead of them are gone, and no one else has taken their places. That is not to excuse their poor offensive performances, but they have not had the benefit of consistent performances from teammates.

Without Blake and Bud to pay attention to things get a little tougher especially when you don’t have a sniper from 3 .

Talent around them is lacking, but it's also a little different when you're the focal point of the opposition's game plan every time. I think at least some of the futility around them is attributable to the brand of basketball they play not exactly being conducive to getting teammates involved. 45% of the total team's shot attempts feels high for two guys who aren't exactly superstars. But this whole thing is a mess, honestly.

Do you think Lowe is still a 2nd round draft choice. A very good college player but I am not sure he can make it in the pros??

I think he still could possibly go in the 2nd Round but he should take the SEC money for 2 more years and bank that just in case. If you aren't a 1st Rounder, you can make more in college and should stay.

The fact remains that Capel will need to rebuild most of the current roster because of eligibility expirations and transfers. I doubt Lowe comes back for any reason, and most of the rest of the eligible guys will transfer out. We won't recognize this team when the new season starts because at least 6 of them will be new names, and from the portal. We have no recruiting to speak of.

At least 6?

I think we will have 10-11 new players.

I was being conservative. If I said what I wanted to say, I'm sure someone on here would throw a hissy fit.

The problem is where is Capel going to get 10 new players of high enough caliber to actually compete competently? I don't think that's possible.

He’s not. Donors will leave him out to try and seeing how he can’t coach a team of lesser talent he’s toast after next year with the reduced buyout

He might actually do better with a almost complete roster turnover. That's what happened three years ago and it was a pleasant surprise

Considering our financial situation is already bad and about to get worse with the $20 million NIL deal and the roughly $7 million cut we are taking to subsidize Clemson and FSU not leaving before 2030...we better hope so.

I wouldn't group Lowe and Leggett together too much other than being guards at the same height. Leggett is possibly our second best two way player after Austin, and our most aggressive rebounder. He can create his own shot, gets steals, plays pretty tough. Shooting is OK, not exceptional though. Dunn, despite the hand injury, was actually our best three point shooter this year.

Lowe has been a huge problem for this team in terms of efficiency. 37.5% from the field, 26.6% from three at a high volume is just killing us. 3.4 turnovers per game too. Bad decision making when he gets a 1/5 switch on the pick and roll. And a defensive liability.
