I never, ever, ever thought Burrow would be this good. His accuracy is unbelievable.
More often than not they are. Not usually prototypical NFL QBs style wise but definitely more than stacked college QB-wise.
He will never be a great gameday coach, but makes up for it in other ways. Great recruiter and motivator, perfect fit for LSU.
Cant get on the field at OSU? No problem, transfer to a blue blood and go be the #1 pick in the draft.
Some of these QB Rooms:
Tua, Hurts
Barrett, Burrow, Haskins
Mayfield, Murray
These guys stockpile and guys love to sit the bench instead of playing
He finally got them a QB (thanks mr obvious). That team littered the field with talent over the years and for reasons I’ll never know couldn’t get a QB other than JaMarcus Russell.
Drive of the year there. Those third down conversations were plays other LSU teams weren’t able to make.
He reminds me of a Jr Tom Brady.

They have the kind of money needed to buy him the best coach at every position, thereby mitigating his coaching issues.

SMF will disagree, but with wins in their final 3 games Alabama is going to get in without having to play in the SEC title game. The one way it gets dicey for them is if Ohio St and Clemson are both undefeated they will need LSU to beat Georgia.

I’ll be honest, I wanted Pitt to hire Ed Orgeron after his stint at USC in 2013. Was known to be a great recruiter even back then and between him and David Cutcliffe, it’s hard to judge coaches by their times at Ole Miss.

I love hearing coach O talk. That is a football coach and I can see why he is a great recruiter. USC screwed up letting him go but he seems like he belongs on the bayou.
Yup, Louisiana born and bred. “Coach O” might not work everywhere, but it certainly works in Baton Rouge.

There is a post game video that one of the players posted. Something the player shouldn’t have done. Let’s just say Coach O. is very passionate about LSU and wants to dethrone Bama. Cannot post the video due to language. I agree - great fit for LSU.
Giving this a little thought, the one coach that comes to mind is Izzo at Michigan state.
Could you imagine being in a phone call with coach O. He sounds like he has gravel in his throat. I felt bad for him when he was interviewed at the start of the game. It sounds like it hurts to talk.
More to it than that though. Burrow was there last year when their offense was putting up a respectable 400 ypg and 32 ppg. But Joe Brady wasn’t. And now the offense is putting up 540 ypg and 47 ppg and is basically unstoppable.
Watch what happens with their QB and receiver recruiting after this season.
Kinda pointless and pompous to say you’re winning one for the people of your state when at least half of them are fans of your rival big state school and hate your program and any success if has. LSU doesn’t have that dynamic. The other schools you mentioned all do.
He’s a bit more than a QB coach. They are running an offense he designed.
he’s all of 30 years old. I think he might have a future in this business.

Add in Dave Aranda’s 2.5 million per year and that’s a hell of an outlay on your staff. I never heard of an assistant coach getting a guaranteed 10 million dollar contract before.
