I say he'll be a player for us. He's tall, has some skills and can shoot the bottom out of it. Not sure what happened to his minutes after the KSU win (and after JD said he was our best post defender early on) but he has a lot of hoops left in him.

Will he become a guy who can he bang enough to be a 4 that works the paint on D but, who can still step out and be a 3 point gunner at the other end?

Agree. In time he'll become a good player in our program. Let's not forget that Coach's good teams were OLDER teams. He gets good players, coaches them for 2-3 years and most of them develop into solid players. Similar results with this group.

Problem with that age argument is we don't have the right combo of players. Just adding more experience won't fix that.

No guards, no bigs. It's gonna take some recruiting to fix this thing.

I think he looks like a typical JD developmental guy ...

WIth a FOR REAL center and some quality wings/pg, he could be a real solid starter.

Luther needs a redshirt season. It's too bad it didn't happen this past year. Landing Thorne could allow both Nix and Luther to redshirt and help down the road.

I agree, Luther will likely become a contributor for us. Never a star, but a solid contributor.
Dixon said he was our best post defender, which said a lot about the rest of the guys when an under the radar true freshman is your best early on.

Was happy to see that this was not a post asking if he would leave the program due to lack of talent.
