They have the #9 class in the country and the best coach in the country. They should pay him 10 mill a year. He’d still be underpaid.

Not going to lie, I'm not sure I see the fit with McClung and TT - but Beard knows better than I do.

TT will not win in Motown this year. Of course the Mounties won't win in Lubbock either.Beard is a good coach and I love it when he goes against Huggy.

Not sure about that, they were pretty mediocre last season. I think they caught their lightning in a bottle in 2018-19.

That said, the way they defend, if they can find some offense they can do damage in March.

They went to the elite 8 the year before and lost 4/5 starters and to the finals the next year. They won’t be down as long as Beard is there from now on. Best coach in country

I think Beard is an outstanding coach as well but you have to have scorers to go deep. He had 3 future NBA players on that team. I don’t think he has the horses right now.

McClung may not even start, they have returning guards that are pretty good that seem to fit in well with Beard’s system. They do need his offense though, so he will obviously see quite a bit of time whether he starts or not.

It is very difficult to make a run to the final 4. Only here in a pro town the judgement of success is the sweet 16 or elite 8 is failure. I dream of the days of making the tournament every year. It ain't t easy. Stability and coaching. We are finally coming back with JC but it is hard.
