A couple years back Crosby had his jaw broken and teeth knocked out and missed quite a few games. A player 2 years ago during the playoffs against the Pens almost lost an eye and was out of the playoffs. Lets not forget the sticks to the face which happens in every game. Hardly "knee jerk".

Personally, I think they are all a bunch of stupid morons, getting entire faces full of teeth busted to tic tacs, just to say "hey, we are tough", So now, this Marino guy, who from what I saw has played great as a rookie, has to be lost for the season while they sew his swollen face back together as he eats with a straw, instead of playing again, today, tomorrow and the next day if he wasn't an idiot and left his face wide open for destruction.
