He's not the defender McGhee was. But he's definitely an upgrade over the 5's Pitt has last year.

Also, he makes me laugh like three times a game. I'm a fan.

Yeah I was thinking he was a bit like Gary as well. Not the brute that Gary was but he is a BRUISER for sure and brings down the rebounds. Had 12 rebounds tonight.

He also brings a lot of enthusiasm and that is a plus.

Maia is a major upgrade. great hands. he can really board and is beefy enough to slow down quality bigs. he would have been a big help against Purdue.

He is really quick as well. He missed the one short baseline shot, and was around the other side of the basket for his own rebound!
