That would be a really great finish. Not sure Sy is much of an upgrade, but Nkamoua and especially McNeil could make an impact.

Sy is the #1 JUCO C. He would be a massive upgrade. He averages 17 and 9 in the best JUCO league. Kene averaged 2 and 2 in a lower JUCO league. Come on now.

A legit C and we have a chance. A legit C changes everything. Whoever that may be + an improved Johnson, McGowens, Toney + another piece and we are right there in the middle of the pack.

Nix averaged 11.2 and 9.5. I mean those are decent numbers but he surely didnt "dominate." I say rebounding translates and it does in most every case. In Nix's case, those are just size rebounds that he couldnt move well enough to get in the ACC. Now, I do think if we played a zone and parked him in the middle, Nix would have had high rebounding numbers here but it's like playing 4 on 5 offensively as you couldnt really run anything with him in there.

Sy is the 2nd leading rebounder in the best JUCO league and a former Buzz recruit. He would be a major, major get......a season-changing get.

Sy is actually being pursued hard by ECU and may be the team to beat. May not seem like much but the coach that recruited him to VT was Steve Roccaforte, the guy who recruited the VT team now. He is an assistant with Joe Dooley at ECU. They already signed his former teammate from VT Tyrie Jackson who is also down at a Florida JUCO. Either way I will be happy if he goes to Pitt or ECU.
