Finding new , unique, game experiences are hard . Sweet Caroline has been attacked as copy cat, not unique to Pitt. This season the toll of the bell on third down was added to Pitt's game day experience, something that plenty of other schools use.
May I suggest replacing the 3rd down toll of the bell with the ringing of the Addams Family's door bell a couple of times for imploring a stop on third down. I know of no other schools using this to signal a defensive stop on third down. It could be uniquely Pitt's identity.
