Why should this surprise anyone when we took Kithcart who is another 6-2 PG. Why would a player commit where a player at the same position has already committed? Seems like a big stir up on the pay Board over this guy picking Providence. Why should we care we already got Kithcart. We don't need a 2nd PG in the same class. We need another big or a wing in the next class, IMHO.

Yeah..when both visit on the same weekend, and I assume Dixon says we'll take who commits first...and we get a commitment...
seems fairly logical he'd go somewhere else.

If Dixon valued one over the other, he'd have staggered the visits.

Same position, same class, similar ranking as Kithcart and Wilson only one year ahead. It makes sense that White would go elsewhere. But anytime posters see a kid that Dixon was recruiting at some point go elsewhere they feel the need to whine about Dixon being a poor recruiter.

So what? It's another opportunity to degrade Jamie Dixon. Pitt fans can't pass that up.

That wasnt the scenario. There is a lot of ongoing information matt and chris provided that lends more to the discussion than what is just out there.

It isnt some major issue on the pay side, most are disappointed in not getting white on board, but more so looking at longer arching recruiting issues.

Yeah, tell me about it DC. It seems so obvious to me.

At the end of this year we are losing Robinson, Smith, Maia and ANO.

So, what we need the most is a big given we are losing two of them. I would think Nix would step right into Maia's shoes and Luther, into ANO's but, I am not convinced Luther is gonna be able to play C.

Manigault, is listed at 6'8" and 225, and that is PF sized. But, they got him listed as a C so I guess that is the plan as to where he plays. So, looks like we got Nix, Manigault and Luther at C for next year and... that may be the plan and if so, Dixon does not necessarily need another big right now. Of course, this seems a big shakey as none of them are experienced but.... again that may indeed be the plan.

What we COULD use... is a high profile SG to come in and replace Smith. Would be able to start right away most likely. But, I am not gonna hold my breath.

Maybe Dixon saves the last two schollies and uses them on grad transfers or JUCOs. That might be a good plan.

Well, if they say so... It must be the case.

I am not happy with Jamie's recruiting at all the past few years.

Another possibility is if a coach leaves a team this spring and a signed recruit is released from their scholarship.

Unfortunately, that is our best hope for a "difference maker" kind of player.

If the grad transfers come in and make an impact this will not be lost on future grad transfers.

Didn't make any assumption.
Two points visit same week, one commits.
The other picks another school.
That's it.

So when you posted, "I assume Dixon says who commits first is who we will take" you werent making an assumption?"

people who cares !!!! Mountain out of a mole hill. They are similar we got one providence got one. We 're having a big debate over another schools player. Time for people to realize Pitt (or any other school including college basketball royalty) can't get them all. LET'S MOVE ON.
