Manny Diaz Hired By Da U

Does Manny have the ability to go from good guy player first assistant (which is how I read him) to leader of the whole program?

I think he would have been better off to get some head coaching experience at Temple, and then come back to Miami. But, Mark's sudden departure didn't give him that luxury.

I guess a lot will depend on his OC choice.

I was just thinking about that as well. Very interesting situation since I guess they’re locked in now if they signed during the early period.

Do you know if there’s a rule or clause in place for this type of scenario, for early signees to back out?
I don't know but if there isn't, there should be.

Yep, Temple will be just fine. They get to bank $6.5M and they can move on to their second choice.

Someone on Twitter said they can use the money to put a downpayment on their own stadium....lol
Actually if they are careful they can build something for 6.5 M.
Pitt is just blind to the possibilities

I would think Miami contacted Cristobal first. And Penny Graham must have relatives in Miami.

I’m surprised they acted so fast. Like someone said, this has the earmarks of a panic hire. Really no rush here. Early signing period is over and they have plenty of time before February LOI day.

At least they have their own stadium..

Interesting so quick. One thing Richt seemed to do there was get more $ and donors poured into fb. The arrow is pointing down there and Diaz was part of that.
