Marquis Williams, 2018 athlete from Florida

Team speed is a huge asset, but acting like this coaching staff is reinventing the wheel and that no other team compares to it is laughable. In addition, it has been pointed out that the most productive fast players on this team were not even landed by this staff. What made this team tick was oline play. It's easy to make long runs when you get to the edge and there is no one there because the line sealed it. That's what needs to continue

-George Hill, Henry Miller, Michael Smith? I named players that have actually played so far. Duzz has a total of 1 of his actual recruiting classes on campus in full. Duzz DID choose to play these players, players that were slammed by posters in this thread last summer.

-By the way, most colleges do NOT have a long list of track star athletes. Not real track star athletes.

Hey dummy-every P5 program has skill position athletes and DBs that were high school track stars. Some programs, like Alabama, LSU, Oregon, FSU, Michigan, and USC to name a few, routinely have players who happen to be college track stars as well.

While we're at it, every P5 football program also has players who were star high school basketball players, star wrestlers, and star baseball players. It may surprise you to learn that the kids who end up playing football at the P5 level are often the best all-around athletes in their schools.

Here's another crazy little fact: every program seeks out the fastest players and brings in as many of them as they can get.

-That simply isnt true at all. There are so many players that are slow that are heavily recruited. All one has to do is pull up the WR rankings the last 5 years and take a good long look at it of how many of those 5 star WR's were A) Slow B) Bust. Tons of them that were heavily recruited, A) Slow B) Bust. I wouldnt want to make the recruiting websites look shameful but I could do it. Busts galore.

-And to cement my point. How many programs in the country have at least 2 WR's over 6'2 in height with 4.4 speed.

1) Pitt-Weah and Smith

-Your turn

For a good laugh, we could post this on the main board so every rivals user gets a good laugh instead of just us

-Not much to laugh at when Pitt boasted its most explosive offense of All Time last year and an offense that was in the Top 5 in the country in P5 in scoring. Not much to laugh at when the offense beat Clemson and Penn State last year. And really not much to laugh at when the offense is going to put 5 players in the NFL draft this year and will continue to put players drafted in the NFL in the future. Pitt's offense last year was Elite. Hard to believe with all the recent coaching failures in this program that played weak schedules in the last 10 years. We played a loaded schedule and put an offense on the field that proved it could score almost at will against anyone. I feel sorry for the debbie downers on this board that are to blind to see it. Maybe in another 2 years people will learn to appreciate what Elite speed and athletic ability can do for you, not inflated made up speed.

We were 8-5 and lost to Northwestern. We struggled with Syracuse, GT, and Marshall. Could have been 4-8 just as easily as 8-5 yet listening to you Alabama should be shaking in their boots

-The offense scored 77 points against Syracuse, 37 against Georgia Tech, and 43 against Marshall. This is considered struggling? You just named 3 games where the offense averaged over 52 points per game. The new pantherlair expectation must be to score 70 a game. High expectation, but I like it.

-Pitt's QB got injured in the Northwestern game. You can blame Chryst for that for piss poor recruiting.

I have less posts than years Ive read this board, but I felt the need to interject.

Fans like the below are frustrating as hell. I am all about supporting the team, but people with outrageous biases are sometimes infuriating. In fairness, I think all posters would agree that we come to message boards to hear other fans opinions, but comparing ourselves to Alabama? That is laughable at best.

Comparing athletes at Pitt to any top tier program, let alone those playing for a team arguably in the greatest stretch of any CFB program ever, and for arguably the greatest CFB coach ever. Come on, even you know that you're lying to yourself.

Pitts offense had a historic offense FOR PITT, but unfortunately, Pitt is not a historically great program. I would argue that teams like USC and Clemson had better offenses than us last year. And thats not because they had better OC's, thats because they flat out have better athletes. To think otherwise is absurd.

You really are too clueless to even debate.

I'm not going to waste any more off my time debating with a child, so why don't you waste a little of your own time and look over some of the wide receiver groups of the top 10-15 programs in the country. And since you're counting incoming freshmen, look at the WRs in their 2017 recruiting classes as well. Then think about whether you'd like to retract your moronic challenge.

-Pitt scored 43 points against Clemson at Clemson. And Clemson has a far and away better defense than Pitt. I wouldnt be lieing to myself when Pitt has put Elite Hall of Famers in the NFL for decades and has a string of NFL players that are on the verge of making the NFL hall of fame. Fitz, McCoy, Brown, Revis, Donald, where does it stop? That's the big boy league, where Pitt is the pinnacle of Elite NFL talent.

-Are you an Alabama fan too along with Jflipper and badby? Would make sense since all your posts are anti Pitt.

Nah. I hope Bama wins every year but I wouldn't call myself a Bama fan.

I'm not a fan of idiots though. So that really doesn't help you.

I see. So let's get you on the record then--is it your statement that Pitt is the only team with 2 receivers that will be on the fall 2017 roster that stand at least 6'2 and run a 4.4 or less?

-Im on record saying very few teams have it. Post away, then I can get to challenge what you post.

-Didnt your brother jflipper make it loud and clear that a football team cannot have multiple players that are in the 4.4 speed range earlier in this thread because of his NFL combine opinion? Now we have 2 teams in d1 that have multiple players with this speed with proven links to back it up. You missed my sarcasm in the original post,. Yet you now agree with me,. All the while making your brother jflipper look bad. Nice going. I question where Bamas speed is though. Perhaps their track players ride the bench while ours score 90 yard TDs. I already baited you once in this thread and I'm doing it again right now. Nice going providing links to back up my argument of recruiting track stars.
This is just another example: No one ever said anything close to that.

You are so dumb, that it is painful to even read your opinions.

You are all over this thread blowing your load talking about Paul Chryst recruits.

These kids don't all run 4.4s. Only 20 of 59 DBs invited to the NFL combine ran in the 4.4s or better. Of those, only 7 at 4.4 or below. We might have 3 players who run 4.4 or better. Maybe. Same is true of LBs running 4.6 or better.

-Backpedaling?

No, not, at all. There are 120+ teams.

I know you have admitted you don't even know the FBS schools though, because you don't follow the sport. I guess you just watch high school kids run track in spandex. That isn't surprising. Hopefully your Mom's basement isn't too close to a school.

-Even with your poor troll attempts, you have lost. I even challenged your big brother Alabama alum badby, but he never posted the schools with 6'2 wr's with 4.4 speed.

Pitt speed on offense > your team

I am not trolling you, at all. I think you are an unbelievable idiotic homer who lies in every thread he posts in and disappears when the lies are called out. I also think you are likely a loser, who lives in your Mother's basement and has a weird obsession with high school kids and their height, weight, and performance in soandex. I'm not joking about that. I'm not posting to get a rise out of you. I'm posting my responses because I legitimately think those things about you. I believe you are an embarrassment to Pitt fans and make our fanbase worse. I imagine you don't have any legitimate connection to Pitt and likely no college degree or football experience of any kind.

Pitt is my team. They have been my whole life and am proud of our family's history with the University and program. I also graduated from Alabama and love them. I expect both to be the best they can be. I am equally ashamed when people like Harvey Updyke or steel_curtain type people, who likely have no actual connection to the University or programs, make their fanbases look bad. It is unfortunate and I wish those folks would move on to something else. I am ashamed to be associated, by anyone who may visit this board, with you. I hope people recognize your idiocy and drive you from the board, so you can't lie and make Pitt fans look bad any longer.

-Anything else? That little rant was funny.

-Tell us again why Pitt doesnt have Elite speed on offense

-By the way, not only did Pitt score more points on Clemson than Alabama, Pitt gained more yards on Clemson then Alabama, and Pitt played Clemson in Clemson. Oh, and Alabama got spotted a +2 turnover cushion and still couldnt punch it in the end zone against Clemson to win the game. Have any 6 stars coming in next year on offense to beat Clemson?

-I got a chuckle with the part I put in bold for everyone to read
