Im confused... I thought he was terrible and an NCState run-off. Surely the HC is calling the plays today, yup that's it.
Seriously though... Great mix of formations, tempo, motion, etc. Offensive line just said we are gonna kick you in the dick and then spread our baby gravy all over your face.

Well said. Anyone complaint about the offense in a WIN where you score 42 points is flat out dumb. There was no reason to open it up further given Pitts lead and ability to dominate in the run game. I swear some of thes dopes expect a 50 point win every game
This seriously has to go down as one of the greatest games coached since 13-9. We were totally ready.... everything worked perfect and game plan succeeded. Of course, PSU came back and made adjustments to our game plan. Agree it was supurb
Great win. However are you guys crazy. Canada was terrible and the play calling was horrible. Despite the score the defense won that game by dominating the first half , creating turnovers, and coming through in key situations. Every first down was a run, no matter the situation. Very few if any real down field throws, and conservative play calling too early. And how many times do you think you can call a shuttle pass and jet sweep before a decent team catches on ? Again great win, but need more O. When your up 28-7 and have your foot on their throat, you don't go conservative you crush their wind pipe. Until that happens that will be the difference between Pitt and the Bamas, FSU's, Ohio states, etc.
I don't have an exact count, but in the Fiesta Bowl Utah ran it something like 437 times against us and we never caught on.

This is the problem with some Pitt fans, heck maybe it's just on here. 1 nice win that we barely held onto and the reality goes out the window. Everyone's great, Canada's the best ever, Peterman's the next Heisman winner, etc...
Sure maybe I am more pessimistic than most but I consider myself a realist. Moving forward, all teams will focus heavily heavily heavily on stopping our run game. If Peterman and the wide receivers don't step up and we have some semblance of a vertical passing game, it will be another 7-5, maybe 8-4 type year.

Yeah not going to go nearly that far. That Pitt team was totally outmanned and a 4 TD underdog in a hostile environment.
This team was playing an equal opponent and got it done like they should. I actually give credit to the much maligned Franklin for making some halftime adjustments for once. Pitt got out to the fast start, but was clearly holding on for dear life most of the last 2.5 quarters.
I'm relieved the game didn't have a few more minutes to it
