With the over/under on Max Browne's potential production being Tom Savage, what do you think we will get.

I believe we will get less than Tom Savage.

no nitter, i say we get close to Peterman.

Oh I am sorry, discussing/asking what people believe a QBs potential production may be on a message board. What was I thinking?

If we could get the Tom Savage the way he played against Duke, we'd go undefeated.

In that game, Tom Savage:

--Threw for six touchdowns
--Threw for 424 yards
--Completed 23 of 33 passes

Pitt's 58-55 win was the highest scoring game in Pitt football history -- at the time...

Go Pitt.

Pitt has had success with transfer QBs. Sometimes they just need a change in scenery. Savage did well for Pitt, Peterman did great. Who knows if he will even start, but you don't want to go into any season with no experience at QB, even if he is a backup.

You can look at this two ways. You can be positive and think he is only going to help the QB situation not only on the field but with competition in camp. Or you can be negative and think the worst like most people on here do. As someone who coach, I always wanted competition because it brought out the best in my players.

Browne said during his visit he spoke to every coach and to Mike Tomlin. Finally we have a coach who understands the value of having one of the top NFL teams as a neighbor!

He has a big arm, I think most of his ints will be from wrs not being able to catch the ball, much like savage did.

It is really funny all the people now saying "Tom Savage was proven". Talk about revitionist history. The guy started as a FR and struggled through the season. The next year he was replaced by Chas Dodd. Then he didn't play for 3 full seasons before starting for Pitt. He was far and away from proven as an average to above average QB.
