Maybe Gary Was Right about AD?

He had nice game. But he had an open 3 in a game not long ago that was beyond a brick. And overall he didn’t play good when given an opportunity prior.

Maybe as they said in the broadcast not having to look over your shoulder helps. But it’s one game - we shall see.

And Gary did what Gary does. Always yearns for the backups/bench guys. Football and hoops, every year.

Players need to be given some rope so they are not looking over there shoulders

Also it’s not like the guys playing were lighting it up and or not costing them games

Lowe and Legget were dreadful and he kept trotting them out there. So what did he have to lose by giving both Cummings and AD more burn. It’s not like Lowe and Legget defense was all that great either

Yes it’s one game. And it wa against a team that’s not all that great. But both Cummings and AD showed some promise and are deserving of more PT.

Leggett is an above average defensive player.

This is the first game that I've sen Delalic with a fire under his arse. 🔥

Although he still doesn't look as comfortable on defense as he could be, he moved a lot more and a lot faster. On offense, he didn't camp out at a spot and take a nap. He repositioned more quickly as the ball moved around and into the paint.

He took the second most shots today and the most threes.

Maybe you get to contribute more when they need you to contribute more.

Otherwise you just wave your arms and get ignored.

Amsal take a nap? That’s what all the other starters do with Lowe and Leggett and/ or Dunne in the game because they are fixated on one thing…getting their points. They lull everyone else into standing around with their hands on their hips

Oh, I agree that the "drive & get mine" offense of the guards leaves the open shooters frustrated/deflated and hurts overall offensive production.

My point is that Delalic made lemonade with those lemons, which many spot-up shooters on this team haven't been doing. That is, when the guards drive into a dead end, too often our perimeter shooters remain in their spot-up locations and don't move to help the stranded guard, or they don't move to a position to which the guard can make a pass, or they don't crash the boards from the backside for an easy rebound behind the defense's backs. Delalic did all of that.
