Unfair characterization. If he was "directing" kids to a school he loved, it would be North Carolina State--his alma mater. I can't think of any Tigers who went there.

Good high school coaches don't direct their kids anywhere. They explain to the kids their options and allow them to make the decision. If it happens and I know it does, it's wrong.

One of the best WPIAL players I ever saw was Brandon Short. No way was he directing him to Pitt in the mid-90s. Pitt's fortunes may have been better if we could have landed Short.

This might be breaking news to many of you but McKeesport has a branch PSU campus. Very easy to grow up a PSU fan there.

This guy is the best coach in the WPIAL by far. Does not deal the resources of the suburban whiny baby programs like NA, Pine Richland, USC, etc. This is a loss for WPIAL football.

Would not be surpised to see Wayne Wade from Clairton be considered and take this job. He works and lives in Mckeesport school district, and has an athletic son who is in junior high currently and attends the school district. Might want to coach him in a couple years if he has the chance.
