I searched Georgetown soccer to find the game. Has their announcers so might look for another link.

Just terrible defending. 1v2 and we let him turn and score. Now, its 3-0. Game over. Oh well, great season. Only lose 1 senior starter.

The first goal was even worse. The goalie simply cannot get beat to the short side on a shot that comes from about one yard off the end line.

Really, all three of those goals came about from poor play from Pitt. Horrible goaltending on the first one, the 1 v 2 when both of our defenders essentially ran themselves out of the play, and then a really stupid foul leading to a free kick and an own goal when the Pitt player tried to, well, I have no idea what he was trying to do, it looked like he wasn't ready for the ball to come to him even though he was standing right in the middle of the goal a couple yards off the line.

3-0. About as good as our American football team.
SOP.

Honestly, with Pitt football, I honestly approach big games hoping that they’ll at least keep me entertained by staying in the game for 3 hours. And too often, they let me down early. They did it last night vs VT...and Pitt soccer did it today. :(.

I hung in and watched most of the game. Just cut away. Sadly, I’m picking to clean the caulking from my main shower and recaulking. Next up, depoop the yard. Serious priorities.

And a fifth off a horrid defensive turnover at the top of the box, followed by a good save and a guy who was well offsides putting the rebound in the net and not getting called for it.

just go back from the game. gtown was so much better. whole game was played in our side of the field. we only had a few even mildly interesting attacking oppportunities.

i don't know if they were mentally tired from Thursday or something else. but they weren't with it today. just mental errors. i thought gtown had some nice athletes but i didn't think we lost b/c of a more dominant players, although they were superior. just not by a huge amount.

of note, parking around georgetown is what i imagine donte's 5 level of hell is like.

I lived in DC for 4 1/2 years. Went to law school at George Washington, which is around 10 blocks from Georgetown (the neighborhood). I never drove my car into Georgetown in those 4 1/2 years.

I drove a taxi at night for Arlington Red Top, 4 nights a week. On weekends, I got a lot of young singles who lived in Virginia but were going to Georgetown for the nightlife. They didn’t want to try to park in Georgetown so they would take taxis to avoid the nightmare.

There was a Georgetown bar, tombs or tunes. Something like that. I worked in NOVA full-time and for fun worked at a bike shop in Georgetown right over the Francis Scott key bridge on M. We’d go to that bar after building bikes for a few hours.

there's a ton of construction at the hospital and behind, which is where the soccer stadium is. so cold and windy, w/ 3 kids, not being able to even get to your destination is just great.

every parking garage was specific to some population (employees, hospital staff, etc).

they were doing construction not h soccer stadium and the football stadium (plus the hospital). terrible planning.

The tombs is still there. It’s the bar St Elmo’s Fire was based on ( not filmed ....that’s now a bad tacorea)

I vaguely recall the announcer during the Lehigh game mentioning some Pitt injuries. Were they to some of the top players? Thanks.

Did you run the exorcist steps?

Sito Sena is probably their 3rd best player. Midfielder but they coulda had Pulisic today and it probably wouldn't have mattered. Any other injuries weren't to key guys I dont think.

nope. i saw some. we parked at the hospital. and walked all the way around the medical campus. and then all around the construction. and then all around the stadium.

from where we parked, the stadium was like 200 yards away. took 45 minutes. we were around a few gtown fans and they were clueslly meandering around as well.
