What are some of your predictions for tonight's game ? I for one think we don't have a very good chance just because it is a road game and they have a very balanced team with good guards and solid big men , I think Jekeri will eat us alive inside .. 79-72 Canes

Probably won't watch the game or visit the board. I need a break.
First comes denial, then comes anger. But the last and worst reaction is apathy. Two bad losses on the road and apathy starts to set in. The empty seats in the Pete shows that some are at that stage. After several years of being a season ticket holder I gave mine up this year. Didn't have to watch the poor games in November and December. Have attended 4 ACC games. Two of the last three I left lamenting that Pitt couldn't recruit a good guard if he walked down the halls of the Pete. Thought Barnes was funny when he said that opponent don't want to come to the Pete because of Pitt's home record. A good argument 5 years ago, no so much today. Beware of apathy - when it becomes pervasive it's hard to turn it around.

I'm going to tune in and hope against hope, but I'd be surprised if we win. I'd be happy if we get on the floor for loose balls, grab some rebounds, shoot with confidence and lose by 8. That would give me confidence we could win 4 of the last 6 games of the season and make the dance. But if we lose badly today and over the weekend, things start to feel a lot like last year.

If you want to see something hilarious, Google for the "Seven Stages of Shatting Yourself", can't remember the comedian. By the time you get to acceptance, you will nearly shat your own pants.

We're not going to beat Miami but if we play hard, act like we actually care, and lose a close game looking like a team with a pulse, I will be happy with that.

Miami up 1 with :20 left, but they forget to put the team back on the floor in time and we score a winning layup to win by 1.

What does everyone think our best strategy is? I think we should start Jeter, go small, and hope that Jeter and/or Young can create mismatches against their bigs. I don't think starting Maia against a 7-0 center and trying to match them with size will do anything but hurt us. Quite frankly, we just don't have size. Trying to beat them in an area they just have an undisputed advantage IMO would be one of the worst coaching decisions anyone could make. I think the smaller lineup is the only option that makes sense tonight.
