hey, we won our last bowl game in Detroit, right? James Conner played offense and a few plays on defense.Detroit
That’s right.hey, we won our last bowl game in Detroit, right? James Conner played offense and a few plays on defense.
I think he had a sack. Would come in at DE on 3rd and longshey, we won our last bowl game in Detroit, right? James Conner played offense and a few plays on defense.
I’d take the quick lane over the millitary.neither are good, but it is what it is.Maybe a return trip to Detroit against a MAC team might change Duzzi's bowl winless streak? 8-5 is so much better than possibly playing a P5 somewhere else and taking the chance at ending up 7-6.

Pitt has to have the record for appearances in that one. It was to the point of being obsurd.but it was a bowl and it was better than nothing.I guess the ACC doesn’t have a tie-in with the Birmingham Bowl?
Unfortunately, it feels like this team belongs there.Pitt has to have the record for appearances in that one. It was to the point of being obsurd.but it was a bowl and it was better than nothing.
Maybe they'll stick us in Shreveport insteadBC and FSU are 6-6
Wouldnt they get Detroit before we do?
Don't know why you think that Navy is a "mediocre" football program. If they win tonight and beat Army next week, they are 10-2 and that is a respectable record for any NCAA D-I program. Bad news for Pitt it, IF they get selected to go to the Military Bowl, Navy's offense will drive the Pitt defense crazy and I don't know if the Pitt offense can score enough points to hang with them.So we get beat by a mediocre Navy team or a worse MAC team great season ending
I’ll take better coaches and players !We need an on campus stadium.
I was going to say,the last time we played navy in that bowl they put it to us.it could very well happen again.just saw a projection where Pitt could play MSU in the pinstripe.
Detroit is still against Big 10.Those people look at record-only and dont take into account other factors. Pitt lost its chance at a Tier 1 Bowl by losing to BC to finish 7-5. That allows bowls to select FSU, Miami, and UNC over them, which they will.
Pitt is going to Detroit to play a MAC team.
Yeah they have the "8th pick" and there's 9 bowl eligible teams in the Big 10 this season, so even if a Big 10 team goes to the Orange or Cotton the Oil Change Bowl won't have to take a MAC team.Detroit is still against Big 10.
Good memory you have. I completely forgot he played defense in that game. Wasn't that also the game where Tom Savage went out and we saw Voytik for the first time? Thought he was going to be something special after that game.

I'd be shocked if Michigan State isn't the Big 10 team in the Oil Change Bowl, now do they take Pitt who's only 5 hour drive away?
Maybe Pitt can take a sick day and call in sick.
A loss in either bowl is a pr and recruiting disaster.
The only thing that might happen is the Detroit Bowl thinking that MSU is going to be a 7 or 6 win team for awhile and pass on them this season, Indiana who is within driving distance and rarely goes bowling would then get the slot.Yea, I was thinking the B10 will get 3 NY6 bowls. They'll only get 2. OSU to CFP and PSU to Rose. So, MSU will probably go to Quick Lane Bowl vs us.

And a win is just breaking from a pr pt of view.
