Had the chance to watch 2022 5 star MJ Rice for the 4th time this season tonight, and boy this kid amazes me each time I watch him play. Tonight vs Pace Academy he was tasked with being guarded by Madison Durr (lockdown defender most nights) and occasionally 5 star FSU signee Matthew Cleveland (kids a stud, will probably eat next year vs us lol) and he looked great. Everything he was doing on offense just looked so effortless, whether it was passing the ball to 4 star soph. Caleb Foster who exploded for 23 pts (5 3pt), driving to the hoop for monster slams, or shooting a pull up jumper. This kid is the real deal and his development over the past year has been stellar, and I'm excited to see him play this weekend at a event I'll be attending (unless Oak Hill goes on a miraculous run). And although it looks like he'll be heading to NCST, I'm excited to watch him continue to develop and hopefully get to the NBA.
