## I started watching at the first TV timeout, as the local feed (FOX Sun Florida) was showing the VT-GT game which ran over. By the time I entered, we were in the middle of our 15-2 run that enabled us the lead, which if I recall, we never relinquished

## I know I said this in either a post or reply . . . normally, you can tell a lot about how a team is going to fare in the first five to ten minutes (clock time); with our Panthers, the opposite is often true, as we came out pretty well against Louisville and then faded, and started slowly against BC and then coasted

## As has been said "ad nauseum", this year's Pitt team is not going to be mistaken for the Howland/early Dixon Pitt teams who preached defense first. And while we played OK on the defensive side last night, a big plus was BC not having anyone other than #3 who could score. There were enough bricks laid to fill a small wheelbarrow. Good rebounding by the Panthers last night, and great shooting by our guys

## BC was exactly what Pitt needed to forget about Louisville; big props to Cam, Artis, Michael, Maia and JRob. And speaking of JRob, I am seeing a bit more of his "underclassman" self the past couple of games, where he seems to be forcing passes and looking for an assist rather than taking a shot when it's open. His shooting is a whole lot better when he commits to it, rather than wondering if he shouldn't have tried one more pass; outstanding floor game by Michael Young, too. 9 assists from him was huge! Wish JRob could've made his last shot so that Young could've enjoyed a double/double

## FT shooting was just OK - Sheldon Jeter is either "thinking" too much or his early success at the line was an anomaly. His last trips (including the Louisville game) looked horrible. I realize that maintaining an 80% FT average over 30+ games would be a pipe dream. I do think we can and should maintain an average closer to 75%, and will probably need to if we want to win the majority of the ACC games this year. I expect most to be much closer than what we had last night, and FT shooting down the stretch will be critical

## Tough stretch of games ahead; and now that Clemson is entering the fray as an ACC contender, it's tough to say they're not worthy of receiving a few Top 25 votes; especially after having defeated the likes of Duke and Louisville

## I'm hoping to be at the UM game in February at the BankUnited Center; haven't bought tickets as yet, but saw several available for under $20 on StubHub - last time we played there it was a nail biter, and Miami has a better team . . . but then, so do we
