I think he believes everything he says. And I also believe he thinks he's an expert on basketball. But when he says he knows basketball, or he's good at this, he's just doing it to stir the pot or spice things up. He knows it gets under people's skin, and he likes that.

It's like Madden. I've never listened to him, but I've heard his commercials and know he calls himself a supergenius. No doubt he has a healthy opinion of his own intelligence, but he's just prodding people by calling himself that out loud.

I've gotten to the point where SMF amuses me as much as he irritates me with his schtick. And it's probable that he'd prefer us to be irritated. I don't understand it, but that seems to be how some people work.

So a kid from EF, a pretty decent school district 20 miles south of Pittsburgh was, what, riding a Port Authority bus into Pittsburgh at 14 or 15 to get into trouble? Stop with this. He went to Prep School for better basketball. I agree he isnt going to Pitt but that's because winning isnt important enough to Pitt. If Pitt hires his step-dad for 300K, 400K, 500K, etc, Mitchell will be going to Pitt.
