Monmouth 73 WVU 65

They just lost by 1 point to an over ranked Virginia team but it’s a loss non the less. They now have 3 losses.

Missed opportunity for a resume-building win. This isnt a Stallings-level team as BballinsiderfromPitt predicted. We should beat them in a few weeks but we'll be maybe a 2 point favorite. Its going to be close.

Virginia lost to an unranked Wisconsin (who also has 2 losses) by 24… but barely losing to them is a great success for wvu

I hate to make WVU's near win look bad but UVa is God-awful. If Kenny Payne were coaching them, they'd honestly go 0-31. But they'll be in the NCAAT
The Kenny Payne comment is ridiculous.

UVA simply doesn't have a frontcourt. They were outrebounded by 13 tonight. That's an issue that's probably going to plague them all season. They just don't have the bodies.

There's no guarantees the Wahoos make the tourney.

Every comment he makes on the matter is ridiculous. They’re possibly the worse big 12 team. And 2 2 time transfers have been denied since we last commented. An all time L for SMF

Uva cant score either

WVU could have a 4th loss by the time these two played since they have St. John’s next week.

…of course, Pitt could have anywhere from 2 to 4 themselves by then too. I think/hope no more than 2. And I’ll still be worried about WVU even if they go into it 7-1. On the road and it’s been a while since Pitt has beaten them.

Ali Ali, an akron 2 time transfer with a documented mental health issues, denied a waiver. When SMF speaks, he is wrong

Only a matter of time

This kid is really really sick. The only thing that can save him is playing basketball games this year for West Virginia. Practicing with the team and playing a full season next year isn't nearly good enough to cure him of his terrible mental disability. He is a threat to the local Morgantown population unless he is able to play in basketball games. The NCAA will realize this and the Hoopies will be going dancing.

If he's "really, really sick", maybe he shouldn't be playing basketball and instead tending to the priority, which is his mental health. If he's that sick, he should be in a mental institution to get him help 24/7. And if he isn't "really really sick", then the decision was made and his waiver was denied. Case closed.

Are you ever right about anything? They’re terrible, btw

No, dont you see. The only thing that can cure him of this terrible, debilitating mental illness that plagues him is playing in basketball games. Just practicing with the team and playing next year cannot cure him. The NCAA will realize this because they cannot have a psychopath walking around one of its campuses. The second his waiver is granted, he will be 100% cured.

I realize that. I was being facetious because of the absurdity of the case. In either case, he shouldn't be on a basketball court or in a college if he's that screwed up. But that would fit the profile of a wvu basketball player.

The interesting thing about these cases is that to get the waiver, you basically you have to say you are a threat to yourself and society if you have to sit out of games for 1 year but then if that is true, the college community at large has to question if its a good idea to have someone that mentally deranged on campus.

Couldn’t resist. Now about that Adou guy……..(yeah I know. Your acknowledgement duly noted)
I acknowledge he’s playing yes. He’s averaging 8 points and .6 assists per game. Yes also 7 boards. When the competition heats up, that isn’t good enough at Kentucky. He will be part of the reason Kentucky isn’t Kentucky standards this year

Kentucky starting 2 WPIAL dudes is a clear sign there will be no Sweet 16

I’m just now hearing about this guy

So WVU is trying to get an alleged mental patient on their team? Is this kid a danger to the community?

Seems wild
