More bad play calling in the 4th.

I see them playing hard , holding GT well from that 50 , I thought we were going to give up.

These are not the players we are expected to compete for anything with. I'm more concerned with how the young guys play and the attitude of the players. Why beat yourself up over 4-8 wins? I don't get it. 7 out of 11 in D suck. Who is arguing they don't?
Calm down Captain Fairweather, Pitt's 2nd half offense is not that bad. They average 5.5 yards per play and score on 40% of their possessions in the 2nd half, 45% if you exclude the fumbles/missed field goal. They need to reduce their 3-and-outs, 33% of possessions, but they aren't playing as bad as you keep insisting.
You are comparing their 2nd half play with their 1st half play. Pitt scores on 60% of their possessions in the first half. If they did that the entire game, we'd be the highest scoring team in the nation. Do you really think Pitt has the talent that deserves to be the highest scoring team in the Power 5? Not knocking the players, but thinking that the play calling and execution are below your expectations makes you delusional.
Not what I saw. I don't think the play calling changed as much as the GT D started figuring out how to defend against it better. Perhaps this has been a bigger part of the problem than we've realized.
Well we did only score three times in the fourth quarter. 13 points, that almost certainly would have been 17 had we not played for the field goal at the end. Of course 13 points per quarter would only be 52 points for a whole game (and 17 would be 68), and as anyone here could tell you, 52 points in a game would be a sign of an absolutely awful offense (and don't get me started on how bad 68 would be).
