OT - More Steelers

He never set before he went in motion, that's why the penalty was called, you have to set for a second then you can go in motion.

Also, it's not just that HE has to be set for a second, the WHOLE offense has to be set for a second at some point in time. He can go in motion without ever coming set at the beginning like he did, if at the end of his motion he, AND everyone else, stops for a full second.

It was so obviously a penalty, made all the funnier by the fact that Troy Aikmann was so adamant that it was a bad call, because he clearly does not, or at least did not, know the rule. And that's one that you'd think that a quarterback would absolutely know.

What I find funny is that people ran with Aikman’s comments about Picken’s route running being better this year than last. If we are to assume that a guy who only covers the Steelers for 1-2 weeks out of the year is actually right about this…then how bad must Pickens route running have been last year? Because this year there is tape, we’ve all seen it, where Pickens only runs routes when he wants to.

Man that offense was bad in so many ways last year. When I was saying for 6 months here that Arthur Smith would do wonders for the offense and making them a 15-20 ranked offense in the league would make them look like world beaters comparatively speaking, I wasn’t kidding. In addition to play action and a professional scheme, he’s also allegedly making Pickens and Friermuth better players.

Of course he is .
Who’s their number 1 ? Zay flowers ?!?
I think he strengthens that WR room. But man that room is bad. People always talk about Jackson’s W/L record vs the Steelers…well last year his receivers let him down by dropping multiple passes, otherwise they beat the Steelers. And I watched the Ravens lose to the Browns on Sunday, when again they were dropping routine passes. I don’t watch them a lot but it appears to be a trend. It is interesting that the guy some here call Dionte Dropsome is headed to the Ravens. He should fit in. And hopefully he teaches the rest of the room how to run backwards. But for all his faults I think he still helps them.

Yes
Reply confirmed no contact with the punter , until the punter kicked and fell into him while he was on the ground
Watching live I thought it was textbook roughing, as he went right into the plant foot. I don’t remember seeing a replay. So thanks for this.

Take it for what its worth but here was Moon’s comments on the roughing the punter non-call:

After the game, though, Moon claims the officials told him that his play was clean.

"I had talked to (the officials) about it," Moon said after the game. "They said I didn't roll or anything. I went for the block. I just stopped, and (Haack) just fell over me. I mean, (the official) was standing right there. He would've made the right call if I would've roughed the punter. I didn't hear anything from the punter or anyone. I think it was clean."
Obviously the official standing there didn't think it was roughing.

I mean - I expected a flag just because it’s now every prime time game goes -
A parade of penalties
But it was actually the right no-call.
