When I saw this, I assumed losing on so many DE's was the reason. While I do think Sims is a great position coach, the defensive style relies on pressure to help the corners that are locked in press man coverage. You see DE play start to vastly improve, you'll see the CB's look a lot better.
Also, whoever said Whitehead "regressed" or his play declined should check yourself. He was doing great until he got hurt. Injuries usually diminish your play.
