NEW — Rep. Andy Biggs has called for an FBI investigation into the Democrat fundraising behemoth ActBlue amid allegations the platform had "been used to skirt the integrity of federal campaign finance laws."
In a letter to FBI director Kash Patel, Biggs writes, "In 2024, President Biden’s Treasury Department found hundreds of suspicious transactions with ActBlue reported by banks."
ActBlue refuses to use CVV codes for online credit card donations, in contrast to almost any other payment processor, which has led to allegations of fraud, money laundering, fraudulent and counterfeit use of credit and debit cards, and suspicious patterns of contributions.
Mysteriously, last week 7 high-ranking staff resigned, some of whom have been at ActBlue for over a decade. The last remaining lawyer at ActBlue’s general counsel’s office has been locked out of his email and put on leave after sending internal messages that “we have Whistleblower Policies for a reason.”
Two unions representing ActBlue employees are openly questioning the group’s stability and call the situation “alarming.” They’re demanding the hiring of an independent investigator.
More than $16 billion has passed through ActBlue in the past 20 years.
