The Cleveland Clinic just issued a preprint of a study about this year's flu vaccine. They found that people who took the vax had a 27% HIGHER chance of getting the flu. As a preprint, this study has not yet been peer-reviewed.

Conclusions This study found that influenza vaccination of working-aged adults was associated with a higher risk of influenza during the 2024-2025 respiratory viral season, suggesting that the vaccine has not been effective in preventing influenza this season.

Cool. Means nothing. Let us know when it's peer-reviewed.

I think everyone agrees though that the flu vaccine is not very effective because there are too many strains and they have to predict which strain will be prevalent that year.

i got that stupid flu shot once about 10 years ago. immediately felt like Sh*t..

i know this will lead into a vax vs anti vax debate so i'll refrain from getting mixed up in that but i will say this, and i truly believe it. unless you are suffering from some sort of immunity issues or you are very elderly, dont get the flu shot. Seriously, it's not worth it..

again, normal human being above the age of 12 and below 80, just roll the dice lol and worst case, you get the flu, you'll be fine. take a day off from work and watch the price is right is literally the worst thing that will happen..

And of course the science deniers fall back on muh peer reviewed nonsense without even knowing what the process is. So let’s see if all the peers are funded by Big Pharma does their review provide any real substance ?

I 100% buy this study based on personal experience. It seemed I would always get the flu when I got vaccinated. When I stopped getting vaccinated, most years I didn’t get it. Even when I did, like this year, it was very mild.

I know it’s a tweet but it does reference a CBS News piece on how flu shots do nothing for the most vulnerable the elderly.

we are a country of hypochondriacs. big pharma loves American culture, that's for sure. you tell us we might get a runny nose, we'll turn that into a pandemic in minutes and go scurrying for any shot they tell us to take.

This is a pretty simple study that is pretty much based on 3rd grade algebra. It is sad that you can't even accept that.

Holy shit! And those bastards won’t let me do business in their hospital without a yearly flu vaccine in my records. I have a C-suite meeting this month there and I might have to work that little nugget into the conversation without them throwing me out on my ear.

In my online profile with the CCF, I might have to upload that study instead of my vax records. Lol. This is absolutely brilliant.

Peer reviewed. lol. You think CCF will fail getting that through peer review?

The flu shot is a guessing game. They don't know which strand it will be each year.

I will accept it when it's peer reviewed. Repost it then. I won't even bother reading it until that happens. Also, I said the flu vaccine isn't very effective. Everyone knows that. This doesn't mean that every single vaccine ever created isn't effective. There are 2 dead kids in Texas who probably would have preferred to have been vaccinated.

You are basing your confidence in this study on a flu vaccine based on your personal experience with a completely different flu vaccine? Is… is that using “anecdotal evidence”, “hasty generalization”, and “confirmation bias”…. all at once??

And there are tens of thousands of parents all over the world that wish they never vaccinated their kid.

Really? Like, did the vaccine kill kids?
Killed, or damaged. When Bill Gates tried to vax large amounts of Africans, women were grabbing their kids and fleeing villages. Kids were having severe adverse reactions.

Can you link an article about the Covid vaccine killing a child. I don't remember one.

What was he injecting them with? Ever heard of Tuskegee 626?

What's the vaccine death rate v. the Covid death rate?
the covid death rate has been redefined about 30 times. did they die due to covid? did they die from other causes but had covid? or did they die during the covid pandemic and hospitals changed the cause of death?

funny how the numbers never changed. people died at the same rates, with the same ages but all of a sudden, no one died of the flu for 3 years lol. it just magically disapeared..

I said deaths.

Also,

"Further investigation is needed, however, to confirm whether the vaccination was the cause of the heart problem."

I am not aware of the Covid vaccine killing any children.
next time i see the head of the CDC, i'll let him/her know that you disagree with their findings..

You're premise is not matching up - you can say the same thing about the cause of heart inflammation.

I appreciate scientific research, but personal experiences have the final say with me. My daughter is a Pharm-D, and believes in vaccines. My kids and grandkids all got vaccinated for school. Me and my family have been getting flu (and other) vaccines for a long time, and none of us ever get the flu. There may be other factors, but as long as our success rate continues, I will believe in flu shots and vaccines in general.

This is the Pittbball80 "covid wasn't real" theory. Let's say Covid was just a very minor illness and nobody died from it. Well, the overall US death rate (from anything) jumped dramatically in 2020 and 2021 and started dropping in 2022 and is now at a "normal" point. What explains the jump in deaths in 2020 and 2021? I am going to go with Covid actually killed people. Pittbball80's theory is that it was a nothing illness and if they just stayed home, they would have all lived because the hospital killed them by putting them on respirators and not giving them that horse tranquilizer.

Now your turn.

I asked the same question and he responded with some word salad...and of course no data or facts.

He didn't even do that. He linked an article which said 200 kids got myocarditis, which is not fatal, nor does it last very long, nor was it directly linked to the vaccine.....or maybe it has been linked by now but I don't care because that isn't death.
