More praise for Paris Ford

Rivals picks him as one of the top 12 players in the Under Armour All American game. In addition to his 4 tackles (2nd on the team) he was also 2nd in all purpose yardage thanks to a 47 yd punt return. Funny I didn't see Lamont Wade in the list.

Ford was the only DB named in that list of top 12 players -----> meaning he was the top rated DB in the game !!!!!!! ..... I think Ford was rated at or near the top of DB's during the week of practice also !!!!! ...... where was Wade rated in comparison ??

I watched the game.

Ford was damn good.

Jeff Thomas the undeclared WR had a really good game. Hopefully he doesn't pick a ACC school.

The FSU RB and Kiandoh had a really good game. In the same week(about 10 days ago) FSU got a top 3 RB in the country and 2nd best DL in the country.

Maddox and Hamlin will be at the corners, assuming Hamlin can find a way to stay healthy.

Don't bother with Lamont; he's made his choice and has been nothing but disrespectful to PITT. Ford is going to be one heck of a player with Hamlin, Whitehead, and whomever wins the other CB spot.

I wouldn't worry about Wade either. He's gone, not gonna be a big loss at all (no pun intended). If we finish this class with Twyman, Zayas, another corner and hopefully another skill guy like Davis or that Michael Smith kid from Florida, I will be happy. Smith has nice film.

VAPITTALUM, I don't dislike Maddox as much as some on here, but wouldn't you want one of the young guys to actually earn and take his spot? His deficiencies are pretty apparent and he can't hang with ACC receivers.

I certainly wouldn't be opposed to that at all. Coleman, Jackson, etc. all have the potential to take over his spot. They are all taller and should match up better with some of the best WR in the country found in the ACC.

I went to the game with my son. Two Pitt script shirts worn with pride.

Enjoyed seeing Paris play. He just looks the part out there and covered a TON of ground so dang fast it was almost comical. He had a chance on one pick, but I think he was anxious to make a return out of it and dropped it.

Sibley looks really good too, but the team offense was not set up to run the ball and he really only had 1/2 a hole to run through all day. Their offense only had 1 running play - a read option up the middle. He did get a rushing TD, but he did not get a chance to put on a show like I wish.

Wade is thick, but shorter than I thought. He covered a lot of ground quickly, but he man got open a large percentage of the time (~40%) so he was not exactly blanketing anyone.

There were some really impressive guys, but the most outstanding player was the WR who is likely to go to the Illini. Really, really good routes and fast as all get out. Would be a great slot for any team in the nation.

In fairness, I believe Wade will be successful if he stays on offense, either as a running back or a slot receiver role like Quadree Henderson. If he stays on defense, he will flop.

I literally said this exact quote about a month ago and got blasted for it. I think he has a chance to be successful if he is on offense. Hope he plays defense though so Weah can run right past him.

How many of the local stars played in this game? Paris Ford, Dave Adams, C.J. Thorpe, Robert Hainsey, Willie Tyler & Lester (Carlton Wade & Lamont).

The only kid getting big time print is Paris Ford. The best player in the WPIAL.

Yeah, keep trying to recruit him Lester...He might be the guy that keeps your short ass on the bench...

Expect big time programs to continue recruiting him hard. He may even take a couple of visits, but at the end of the day he will still be a Panther. Bank on it...
