I read an article in the Trib recently. From what I understand, he has declared for the 2025 NFL draft. Therefore, he has decided not to play in the upcoming bowl game.
This creates a couple of questions in my mind. I would assume that he received NIL benefits this year. I don’t know how much this would’ve been. Isn’t he obligated to play in the bowl game since he received benefits?
And to be honest about it, he was a good college receiver. However, I would highly doubt that he even gets drafted. Not fast enough.
To me, it certainly seems like he has quit on his team. If you are receiving the kind of money these kids are reportedly receiving, they have to play out the year.
