I don't think we necessarily need a transcendent moment or player, but consistent tough play ,by strong minded people can do it as well.
That's what we saw yesterday from the team. Pickett particularly draws respect. His passing is still too inaccurate, but his work ethic,and toughness are beyond question. The defense was tenacious and never gave up, keeping Pitt in the game.
Continuity in coaching staff, consistent recruiting of high caliber/character athletes,and strong university support , will gradually develop a new mind set/expectations.
