I would love for Pitt to be in the same bracket as Villanova this year and play them in the second round. I think they are the most over rated team in the entire top 25. Would be sweet to take them down....hoping! We'd get a lot of good pub winning that game too.

Yes please.

Who are you kidding, Del?

Your dream bracket has Pitt not making it..... therefore getting us closer (in your mind) to dumping Dixon.

If we lose tomorrow, which is likely, the tourney could very well be a dream for us.

I wagered Pitt reaching the sweet 16 this year. Could go down as my worst one ever.

One would have thought that Pitt would improve over a team who last year was a tourney team until they stumbled at the end. With a senior PG and young, Artis, Jeter and even Jones returning, a 5-7 seed was looking possible.

With college basketball being down, a 5 or 6 seed would have given a strong shot at the final 16. And even an 8/9 first round game could yield a 2nd round opponent like Nova.

This team has been a huge disappointment and a wasted opportunity in my eyes. A win tomorrow could get them back on track. But I wouldn't bet on it. Looks like I will be losing enough with this team.

At this point, for me, my dream NCAA Bracket is any bracket with Pitt in it somewhere.

I'm with you. This isn't a good Pitt team, but unless I'm just missing something, it's a good enough team to win so,e games in March. Maybe I'm not paying enough attention, but college hoops seems to be down this year.

Why would a loss tomorrow move the needle at all? I expect our RPI to go up tomorrow win or lose given the SOS boost.

At worst, after tomorrow we are 6-6 in the ACC. We need to win 3 more games. If we can't win 3 of the last 6, shame on us. I'm not saying we will, but the path to the tourney is still right there.

And if Pitt gets in? Who knows. I wouldn't rip up your ticket just yet, and tomorrow's result means very little (unless we win).

We are just running out of oportunties. With each loss, margin of error becomes smaller.

Your post proves three things: you don't read what I post and interpret anything which even borders on criticism as as complete lack of support of the program; second, you're dumb and third, and, most tellingly, , you're an annoying little twit for even authoring such a post. How's that?

Yeah, I'd like a crack at those pricks too.

I've gone round and round with Delpanther for years. Del isn't one of the "the program is in the toilet so fire Jamie" crowd.

He has posted criticisms where warranted and compliments where deserved.

I think some of you guys are being too optimistic about Pitt's NCAA chances. Remember part of it also is how the team finished and we are losing a lot of games now. Plus we still haven't beaten a top 20 team. If we can miraculously beat UNC that would be huge.

All I'm saying is I know the bubble is weak but we still need to beat some good teams late. Losing to UNC would only make things worse.

Like a lot of folks are saying. I just hope we get into the tourny. However, i think Nova would be a horrible match up for us. Their quards are waaaaaaay to quick for Pitt's.

We beat ND on the road, who are currently 19th. I think that win is arguably the best road win by any team in the ACC in league games this season. Off the top of my head, I'm not sure UNC, Miami, or UVA has lost at home, the only teams ahead of ND in the ACC.

Would be somewhat of payback if we could get a game with Nova and beat them when they're a 1 seed. I would love to see them in March. Much better than having to play any other possible 1 seeds such as the Big 12 Champ.
