First off, I subscribed to the premium content tonight to get an inside-look at the search. @Matt Steinbrink I greatly appreciate the work that you’ve put in.
Now, two years ago at this time we were going down to Florida to visit some family. As soon as we got there, news broke that Coach Dixon was leaving for TCU. A few days later we’re on the water, dock it at a lake-side restaurant and enjoying ourselves. That’s when my phone starts blowing up that Sean Miller is in talks to accept the job. People are giving us looks because of the way we’re hootin and hollering. I realize half an hour later that he wasn’t even on campus, which was a little deflating for the rest of the day. Went down hill as the week went on, discovering the successor at a Hyatt hotel in Chattanooga.
Fast forward to present day. We’re going to FL for the first time since that trip, and plan on attending the same restaurant on the same lake on almost the exact day we were there in 2016. Ironically, it’d fit right into Matt’s “timeline” thread. What’re the odds? Perhaps we’ll have some more luck this time around
