What an improved performance.
*** Our man to man defense was great. We closed out on shooters and kept their guards from driving all the way to the basket with help defense.
*** On offense we moved the ball with the pass much more than usual. Which led to open outside shots. We didn’t use the high ball screen as much which doesn’t yield much for us.
*** Less dribbling for no reason. Burton still overdribbles and doesn’t set up an offense quick enough for my liking. But Femi was purposeful with his dribbling and beat his defender many times using simple dribble moves to get to the basket.
*** Horton was huge. The thing he does best is he is always moving and relocating to make it easier to get him a kick out pass. And his feet are always set so he is shooting in rythmn. His shot looks great.
*** Don’t know when we learned to shoot free throws so well but what a difference that makes.
*** Hugley in particular looks like he is having a lot of fun whether on the floor or on the bench.
