I’ve long been on record as believing the WPIAL is talent poor, but like blue blood old money in a trust fund it looks better on paper.
I also know that one way the WPIAL gets away with it is by thumbing its nose at Pitt.
Pitt has been Charlie Brown to the WPIAL’s Lucy far too long.
Florida and Georgia have an obscene amount of talent and they make the WPIAL look like backwash.
To put this matter to rest, Pitt should limit its offers to 2 WPIAL players: 3 at most.
Don’t even raise the expectations that a WPIAL player will get a Pitt offer. This sense of “entitlement” produces contempt for Pitt.
No one is entitled to anything.
We can’t lose anything because we have nothing to lose.
