Which is why Pitt should have never hired him in the first place! If he had been a great DC working for a offensive coach maybe. I am not saying they should fire him after the season. But he should be told flat out if it doesn't improve next year your gone, you want to tie your fate to your current coaches ok but you don't have much longer.

I was thinking more of Paul Hackett. Everyone enjoy Jimmy Morrissey getting whopped all evening? We have a center that would have a hard time starting at Geneva. But it's a feel good story.

This is my disappointment with him. I would have thought we could have worked through a transitional time at QB because there would be a talented, well coached defense that kept us in every game, and shut down poor teams. That's not the case.

It is simple for me. I believe every HC needs at least 4 years (actually 5 years) to get things to there system in place and running. With that said it needs to be explained to him that his staff needs retooled this off season asap.

30+ points vs a 1 - 8 team should be enough to win. How can a defensive genius allow a 1 - 8 team who is down to their 3rd string QB put up 34 points to win a game that Pitt should win while blindfolded?
