Narduzzi isn't the only coach who limits media

one of these days local media is gonna stop showing up and these same coaches are going to be the first crying about getting no respect..

The less knowledge one can keep from your Competitors the better you can prepare your Teams to compete. This is a mark of a Great Coach and the Media hates it fro good reason they can't write about what they can't find out.

The only time a coach runs into trouble is when Players or Assistant Coaches do something like without the Head Coaching knowing it like we saw at USC Carroll, Baylor's Briles, Penn State Paterno and others on College Football breaking NCAA Rules, or influencing the Non-Compliance of Laws to protect the Players or Program....then you end up with Scandals and Sanctions.

Keeping things about practices, plays, and injuries from being know can exploit a weakness in the Game Plan.

I remember under Walt, Wanny, Graham and Chryst Players would interviewed and always talking about things that should stay in the Locket Rooms, or when a Coach confronts critics like Chryst did on his Special Teams and Chryst kept defending them when they lost games for his Players. Or Graham bad mouthing Tino.

Dixon's seldom stopped his Players Mouths from running on what they plan to do in big games coming up like against UConn or NCAA Tourney, and the opposing Players just kept saying, it is a tough game and we just hope we can play and win against them.

Cowher used tell the Media we plan to do what we always do, "run the ball", while Belinchik would just tell his Players on Game Day, stop the run and we won!

Dummy Coaches & Players talk about what they plan to do while Champions stay quiet and just do it!

Narduzzi not only changed the attitude of Pitt Players but taught them how to go to film room, stay out of off campus distractions, play all 4 Quarters and keep your mouths shut around reporters and friends!

Meh. Saban has a pretty open policy for media and boosters for their spring. Unbelievably open compared to HCPN. I don't think anyone is losing a game in the fall because the media got more or less access to information in the Spring.

Pitt gets little respect already, so not much downside for Duzz. I'm sure he has his reasons.
