HCPN during today’s presser argued that not having a spring game created a hole in his ability to assess talent. The all too familiar it’s not my fault Narduzzi finds a clever way to argue why OL was more productive and why he didn’t play those replacements more throughout the season. I’m sorry but that’s absolutely an unacceptable excuse and Pitt community should be annoyed by that explanation. PN has had 6 games with Kenny Pickett and two 1pt losses against inferior teams to assess players in real time. Pitt can’t fix what is not acknowledged by coach’s & administrators. It appears to me that PN and staff hang out at the water cooler trying to figure out how they can explain their deficiencies and that’s what losers do imo. Humility is what this program needs how hard would it have been for PN to say wow I misread the Oline should have tweaked that earlier in season my bad. Then followed with Pitt is my first HC gig there is a learning curve that I’m having to overcome be patient we are on the right track. That kind of a statement I’d rally around and support him as our coach but no we get the stubborn smug smarter than everyone in the room jerk that makes me cringe every time he speaks. I’m so done with PN he’s just a clown at this point!
