Said you won't recognize ollison (in a good way). Completely changed body.

Only way to get psu tix is buying season tickets and only a few hundred left.

Whitehead will definitely play offense.

Jarrett looks like a beast. 350+ lbs. Changed number to 6

He sounds serious about this 3 back set.. Mentioned it again with JC, Ollison and Hall.. How bout Folston, he mentioned that pitt has 4 or 5 DEs, Folston was definitely in that top 4, assuming Edwards is #5.. We keep sleeping on Folston.

I missed the part about Whitehead but good to hear. That kid is too fast and too good not be on the field for the offense. I don't see why he cant play some wideout.

Running back. Look what he did as running back against ND. Pitch it to him left, run behind DoJo and Biz.. We want that "change of pace" back, it's him..

he's no dummy, he's looking at the wr depth also. bodies and play makers are not one in the same. it doesn't take a genius to figure out our strength is ol and rb. it also doesn't take opposing dc's to figure this out.

narduzzi has given canada the memo for season....pound the ball. if it doesn't work against acc competition, keep trying.

This is good news and I expected to hear it. Ollie looked just a bit heavy last year and he was visibly gassed at times. Still a beast but was not in tip top shape. I can recall his HS highlights where he was a lot leaner and had some sprinter in him. We have talent and depth at RB and along the OL. We have a QB who won't wow anybody but who plays relatively mistake free. We have an excellent all-around TE. The concern on O is at WR, but if we have a couple of guys who can stretch the field a bit and make a big play now and then, this offense should be our best in many years.

Defensively we are still building, but we are extremely well coached and should do well except in games where we are physically over-matched.

Pitt will have success in the passing game BECAUSE Pitt can pound the ball on the ground.

could have said the same thing last year. of all of boyd's years here, last year was his worst.

forgot to mention, Ollison slimming down is a good thing. maybe a little stronger and also a little faster.

Because our offensive strategy stunk and Nate threw most passes to Boyd behind him, so he has to break stride .

It's really not complicated , we didn't throw down field effectively last year. We made boyd a possession receiver instead of a game changer .

these coaches are not stupid. neither are the other coaches. they knew if they took away boyd, we didn't have a passing game. fact is, we didn't. not enough of our other wr's could make plays. hence, we didn't go downfield as much as other teams. boyd was often double teamed. now this year ford gets their best cover guys.

its easier to go down field when you have both street and boyd lining up at wr. we have bodies, not enough play makers at wr.

YES. Sometimes. YES. And YES. Plus the talented TEs we're not used enough... Which points back to the first YES (about the offensive strategy).

Everybody is always talking about Barkley on PSU BWI and other places, and myself on the Lair, but hear me now and loud.......Pitt's Whitehead may be the surprised Player of the September 10th Renewed Great Game by Two Great Football Teams in PITT & PENN STATE!

I smell a September Surprise and Just A Hunch!

Agree, Pitt Defense may find it tough to contain PSU Offensive Weapons, but all Pitt has to do too, is win by one point more!

I see a Run, Pass & Shoot out decided by a Kick!

He will play on Sundays IMO.
Something Lamont Wade should keep in mind, what better place to learn from with the same talent Whitehead has now to share with Wade and hope Lamont consider that before committing anywhere?

Darrelle Revis still has the talent to play and teach too! Easier to do at Pitt than any other place, game to game, practice to practice and Alumni to Alumnus!

Why Be A Servant To Other Programs When You Can Become A Son Of Pitt Is It!

Pitt's Sons of Hall of Fames know no Shame!

-We wouldnt know, because Jim Chaney is stupid. When you throw the football to 1 player 150 times in a single season, you arent even trying to give any other received a chance. Luckily for Pitt we now get a a chance to throw the ball to someone else, and probably multiple players. The way our offense was run last year was a disgrace, all because of our offensive coordinator and his complete stubbornness. With Run to Pass distribution was also a joke. And our running game fell off a cliff last year because we simply didnt run enough.

He lost his best offensive player in the first game. And he was a RB. The stats would of been a little different if he played the whole year, don't ya think. Posters were going nuts when we pulled an OC out of the SEC. He left to go to back to the SEC with a big time school making nice coin.

We get it steel, you hated Chaney and you have a serious man crush on Canada.

The first time we run 300 times in a game and it doesn't work, everyone will be screaming at Canada as to why he at least didn't try to throw the ball.

And steel, did you see the top 5 WPIAL recruits? You have to be losing your mind with #2

-My only concern entering this season is not giving the ball enough to James Conner because of his health. If James Conner says give me the ball, you give him the ball. Its his decision, not anyone elses in terms of how much running load he can handle. And yes, I think Conner will score more TD's by himself this year than Chaney's entire Pitt rushing offense last year, which only scored 19 TD's for the entire season. Which is disgraceful with our oline. And Yes, I cant stand Jim Chaney, who doesnt have a clue on how to run a proset offense. He can go back to his spread.
